In 2019, Celtech faced manufacturing commitments and schedules that required increased production volumes. To face these favorable realities, Mike Rigdon and his team set about analyzing total production requirements. Celtech has been moving towards manufacture of skidded test cell subsystems. Fuel System skids, Compressed Air Start packages, Cabs, Oil Preservation units and Test Stands all required welding, lifting, painting, assembly, wiring, and testing. Materials processes and product movements led to a line/cell manufacturing approach.

Celtech’s largest building was reorganized by moving Stores to a location closer to the heart of all manufacturing, and repurposing the large warehouse building for modular subsystems manufacturing. The new lines have doubled and even tripled production throughput. Usage of Global Shop ERP has facilitated lean processes and work order tracking. “We brought everybody into the action, and now we have a layout and process that has Celtech playing a successful role in meeting growing USAF and Allied test cell needs.”

Celtech’s desert environs make it an ideal place for producing and storing steel fabrications without harm from rust. Celtech’s enlarged plant and growth offers 100,000 square feet on 10 acres, with room for indoor and arid outdoor storage. And we’re hiring!
